Hey guys
I thought I would let you know about a fantastic unsigned band from Sheffield called Firegarden...
I saw them in a small pub in Horncastle last night. The inevitable satuday night crowd, bikers, old and young came to witness the boogie lords at play. If you love classic rock and prog rock then this is the band for you. Some classic covers (Deep Purple, Pink Floyd, Free etc) and some of their own material which is a clever blend of classic and modern.
By the end of the night everyone was dancing, even the little old lady who comes to see them everytime (it may be because she thinks the drummer has a sexy body...) played air guitar with the lead singer/bass player. It was an electric night. The energy of the band flowed through the audience, I always think when the band has fun so does the audience.
The gig will shortly be up on youtube, but for those that are interested please visit their myspace, website or come to a gig. They will be playing in Sheffield again on 1st August 2008 at the Grapes on Trippet lane, be good to see you there.

doesn't mean they don't love you with all they have.
Ralph and Edna were both patients in a mental hospital.
One day while they were walking past the hospital swimming pool. Ralph suddenly jumped into the deep end. He sank to the bottom of the pool and stayed there. Edna promptly jumped in to save him. She swam to the bottom and pulled him out.
When the Head Nurse Director became aware of Edna's heroic act she immediately ordered her to be discharged from the hospital, as she now considered her to be mentally stable.
Edna replied, 'He didn't hang himself, I put him there to dry. How soon can I go home?'
